Mark Winkler

Mark is the Founder and President of The Boise Consulting Group. He has twenty years of experience in the high technology industry and was the Chief Technology Officer of a successful internet company with 300M/yr in revenues.  Mark helped lead St. Luke’s Health System’s transformation from fee-for-service to value-based care as System Director, Center for Accountable Care and as System Director for Performance Excellence (Lean transformation).  He program managed the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and partnered with physician leaders to kick-off multiple clinical integration and population health management initiatives.

He facilitates the planning and execution of large change initiatives and specializes in getting all key stakeholders working together towards a common goal. Mark helps organizations with strategic planning, process improvement (Lean and Six Sigma), program management, executive coaching and team building (Five Dysfunctions).  Whether high technology, utilities, or healthcare, he partners with clients to get the desired outcomes.

Mark earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University and served as Chairman of the College of Engineering Advisory Board. He achieved a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the American Society of Quality and a Master Black Belt certification from Sigmapro. He also earned a Project Management Institute PMP certification and is a certified NxLeveL™ Business Start-up and Existing Business instructor for the Idaho Small Business Development Center.

Michael DePaola

Mike consults for The Boise Consulting Group in the areas of Crisis Management, Executive Protection, Security/Loss Prevention, Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Safety.  He has 33 years executive experience in the food and drug industry and is the former Group VP of Asset Protection for Albertsons/Supervalu.  Mike also held the position of VP of Internal Affairs for Jewel/Osco in Chicago.

He has extensive experience developing and implementing policy, procedures and process improvements.  While at Albertsons, he developed and implemented the Crisis Management and Executive Protection programs.  He also re-engineered and enhanced the performance of the company's Asset Protection departments, achieving a world-class model for the industry.  Under his leadership, the company reduced shrink and dropped the level of customer and associate accidents to below industry averages.

Mike has a Degree in Business Management from Lake Forest College, School of Management.
